Skilling Your Business Project!
Improve your knowledge and skills in small business management.
Training more Australians for the jobs of the future is an economic imperative, as is meeting the skills needs of businesses affected by our transitioning economy.
In a fast-moving economy, more and more Australian businesses are recognising the importance of investing in themselves and their people to meet their current and future workforce needs. The Australian Government is serious about investing in skills and training reform. This is not about training for the sake of training; it is about ensuring Australian businesses and workplaces have the skills and business acumen they need. It is about ensuring that all Australians have the opportunity to undertake the training that will best set them up for a viable business, a rewarding job and the security for the long-term. It is about ensuring that Australians have the skills and abilities needed to take up the work of today and tomorrow. Also, employees are more likely to stay with a business that has invested in training for them — training that is tailored to the needs of that business. This project is about improving one’s knowledge and skills in small business management. By participating in this project you will be enhancing the way you operate in a small or micro business environment, by focusing on key areas of business and by working with a professional master business trainer and mentor. The program is delivered in 7 evening workshops and covers areas including:
And in addition every participant will receive 10 hours of direct one-on-one mentoring in their business workplace. This approach is totally unique and is unable to be gained from anywhere else. “This is your opportunity to partner with the Government to build your business, to see you and your staff get the skills needed for the future and to make your business more productive in the long run — it’s a serious investment and one well worth making if you are serious about your business.” The Government will contribute over $3000 each for you and your staff (you don’t have to pay this money back), whilst your co-contribution will only be just over $1500 per participant and paid off in 10 easy, monthly installments.
